Key findings provide invaluable information to the Jewish Community

On Friday 23rd May, 2014, in front of key members from the Jewish Community at Jewish Care Victoria, the results of the key findings from the 2011 Australian Census were launched. Dr David Graham from the JCA (Jewish Community Appeal) in Sydney presented the Australian Key Findings, followed by Professor Andrew Marcus from Monash University who presented the Victorian Key Findings. Both David and Andrew highlighted some significant trends and information that is vital to the future prosperity and growth of the Jewish Community.

Nicole Brittain from Gandel Foundation addressed the audience and spoke about the main drivers behind Gandel Foundation’s decision to support this important research project and how applying census data in developing effective philanthropic programs makes good sense.

“Gandel Foundation is extremely proud to be associated with this initiative, as we see it providing an invaluable source of relevant information for communal organisations and services, and also for Gandel Foundation, helping us in our job of supporting key activities and programs within the Jewish community” says Nicole Brittain, Grant Manager for Jewish and Israel Programs.
