Giselle Davey is the recipient of the 2018 Gandel Young Leader award. Giselle used her love for swimming to support a cause close to her and her family’s hearts. After completing the Stand Up ABC social justice journey, as part of her UJEB Bat Mitzvah program, Giselle decided to raise funds in support of the Ardoch Youth Foundation.
Child and Family Centre at Odyssey House

Home Stretch applauds State Government commitment to extend foster care to 21
The Home Stretch coalition welcomed the Victorian Government’s ground breaking announcement that it will commit $11.6 million to extend foster care to 21.
The historic move will see 250 young people provided with care through to 21 years, ensuring that young Victorians leaving care will have every chance to fulfil their potential and make a successful transition to adulthood.
Who’s who winners
Coinciding with the Geelong Gallery’s presentation of the Art Gallery of New South Wales’ 2018 Archibald Prize, this student prize encouraged young artists to celebrate local identities, their personal histories and achievements—through portraiture.
