John and Pauline Gandel are renowned for their support of arts & culture in Australia, and the recent completion of a significant arts project has been eagerly awaited. As part of the major redevelopment of the Art Gallery of New South Wales in Sydney (AGNSW), John and Pauline provided a Flagship Grant to AGNSW to acquire a sculpture by an iconic Japanese artist, Yayoi Kusama.
The Gandels travelled to Sydney for the official opening of Sydney Modern and John took the opportunity to take a photo with the sculpture (pictured with Maud Page from AGNSW). The colourful Kusama sculpture appears bound to become an Insta-worthy destination for arts patrons!
