GRANT RECIPIENTS IN 2020/2021
AT A GLANCE:
In this year Gandel Foundation Directors maintained three levels of giving – Community Grants, Major Grants and Flagship Grants. However, they also instituted a specific focus on providing grants and donations that were aimed at directly addressing community issues and challenges posed by the COVID-19 health emergency.
In this period Gandel Foundation also honoured and fulfilled all its pre-existing commitments, whilst maintaining flexibility and allowing for adjustments to programs and activities as required, due to the ongoing complexities resulting from the COVID situation. Of the total of 103 grants and donations made in this financial year, 26 were pre-existing multi-year or ongoing commitments and 39 were directly related to COVID responses, while a number of other grants were indirectly addressing COVID consequences.
